Bunjii

Bunjii bands are fun, colorful bands you never have to pull your hair in and out of it in order to make a nice, tight ponytail. I didn't catch or tear any of my hair! Bunjii's make a loop which you slide your ponytail into, then you tighten it up like a cinch. Once tightened, you wrap the tail of the band around and around, then slip into a holding channel. It takes a little practice to get the tension just right, and to learn to slide the band into the holding lock wihtout feeling around for it, but it's work the practice. It gives a really nice look to ponytails and braids. My sister used them on two braids and pulled them to the front. It looked very nice! Much better than regular bands. For more information you can read our Interview with Brad Bealmear of Bunjii Design!

I am wearing a bunjii in my hair right now.

I was able to quickly put it on at my desk in my office. Later, it continued to stay put through a long yoga session in which I was upside down frequently.

The best part is that when I take it out of my fine delicate hair, there will be no broken hairs left behind.

I recommend the bunjiis--both regular and mini--to anyone. People notice them and ask all the time.

Ficcare

Ficcare (Pelican) Innovation clips

I have two medium Innovation clips by Ficcare. It is a very strong, well made metal clip. It does not catch my hair, or cause damage even though the spring is strong. It is heavier than other clips you find in the stores today. For my length hair, I would prefer to have a large. That is my only complaint!

I have a few of these... I have one small (it's a bit too curved for my big ol' head and the ends seem to want to jab me because of the sharp curve; need to see about flattening that puppy out!) and a medium gold (brushed center, polished perimeter) that I LOVE, and a large (enamel tortoise brown) that is good, too, but really BIG. I like them for securing a french twist -- I finally feel like the large isn't TOO large for my measly amount of hair! Thank you, Beliebte! (she bought it for me way back when....) and I use the medium for securing a bun. They ARE heavier than their fake counterparts (the plastic ones) but I know that it'll never harm my hair (they're SO smooth) and I don't have to worry about it BREAKING (I have broken many plastic ones...)

I began to think, when I couldn't' get my Max to work for my sloppy rope-updo, that maybe I could use the Innovation for the updo.... Have to try that! The Innovation was my first Ficcare, and is a really really NICE clip.

Ficcare Maximus Clip

I have one in Matte Gold size Medium and I absolutely love it. I'm planning to buy one more in a silver color. EP's don't compare with the original.

I wore it last Saturday when I went on a trip to Lake Tahoe... and my friend was so curious about it... "so coooooooool" that's what she told me. She even wanted me to demo this to her which I was more than happy to do.

Wearing the Ficcare maximus is becoming my signature style now.

I have a medium one in brushed gold, and haven't figured out what to do with it yet. I am considering selling it, if I can't make it work for me. It seems heavy for my hair, which is very fine and slippery.

I love my Ficcare Maximus. I have 3 large ones. The shiny gold, the pink with the silver edge and one looks kind of like bamboo print. I don't have my catalog here to look it up. My style in my signature pic has uses the one with the pink. It's a really simple up do. I think Fox has the directions on the Styling Station. I always have one in my purse. A long hair essential for me.
